Camp Opportunity
Kamp Kiwanis has 25 Direct/Agency Sponsored Kamper
applications for Kamp Kiwanis 2014 (July 27 – Aug 2 session only). This means there is NO CHARGE for children
with these special applications to attend this camp for the session
indicated. Kamp Kiwanis is located in
the Adirondack Mountains about an 80 minute drive from Fort Drum. Parents will be responsible for drop off and
pick up of their children. Individuals
must contact me by COB today to take advantage of this opportunity. Please email this information out to your

*****SCAM ALERT*****
I just received a message from one of our Survivors about a SCAM targeting Gold Star Families. Someone is calling from the following number, 202-666-2294, stating that they are calling from the "Casualty Office of the Government in Washington DC". They are telling Survivors that they are eligible for an $8,400 grant that can be used for any purpose. When asked, they will not provide a government id or call back number. They are trying to convince Survivors to give them their checking/savings account information. DO NOT provide any personal information to unsolicited callers!

Attached is the flyer for Camp Wabasso for this
year. There are 100 spots sponsored for military kids with first priority going to
Surviving children and Wounded Service Members children. They are on first come first save slots. You will need to secure the spot with $25 pre-registration fee. This is
a great deal for overnight camp! Camp Wabasso is a beautiful and fun camp
run by Cornell Cooperative Extension below is the link for additional
